  3. Formatting with this option selected will remove any defective blocks found since the drive was manufactured from the defect list.

  5. This can be useful if some external interference was causing a large number of good disk blocks to be incorrectly reported as defective.
  6.  
  7. This is dangerous in that it allows blocks which may be defective to be used.  If this option is selected, you must not interrupt the disk test which is performed after the formatting.  For additional safety you may wish to select the Read/Write Disk Test option before formatting the drive.
